The Cat and the Mouse

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry. Tom was always trying to catch Jerry, but Jerry was too clever for him. One day, Tom was sitting on the kitchen counter when he saw Jerry running across the floor. Tom jumped down and chased after him. Jerry ran into a hole in the wall, but Tom was too big to fit through.

Tom sat down in front of the hole and waited for Jerry to come out. Jerry waited inside the hole for a long time, but he was too scared to come out. Finally, Tom got tired of waiting and went away.

Jerry came out of the hole and was relieved to see that Tom was gone. He ran back to his mouse hole and was glad to be safe.
