The Cat and the Mouse

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry. Tom was always trying to catch Jerry, but Jerry was too clever for him. One day, Tom was sitting on the kitchen counter when he saw Jerry running across the floor. Tom jumped down from the counter and chased after Jerry. Jerry ran into a hole in the wall, and Tom couldn’t get him.

Tom was very angry. He decided to set a trap for Jerry. He put a piece of cheese on the floor and waited for Jerry to come out of the hole. Jerry was very hungry, and he couldn’t resist the cheese. He came out of the hole and started to eat the cheese.

As soon as Jerry started to eat the cheese, Tom jumped on him. Jerry was so scared that he ran away as fast as he could. Tom chased after him, but Jerry was too fast for him. Jerry ran back into the hole in the wall, and Tom couldn’t get him.

Tom was very disappointed. He had failed to catch Jerry again. He decided to give up and go to sleep.
