The Cat and the Mouse

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry. Tom was always trying to catch Jerry, but Jerry was too clever for him. One day, Tom was sitting on the kitchen counter when he saw Jerry running across the floor. Tom jumped down from the counter and chased after Jerry. Jerry ran into a hole in the wall, but Tom was too big to fit through.

Tom sat down in front of the hole and waited for Jerry to come out. Jerry stayed in the hole for a long time, but eventually he got hungry. He poked his head out of the hole and looked around. Tom was still sitting there, waiting for him.

Jerry knew that he had to do something, so he came up with a plan. He went back into the hole and found a piece of cheese. He then came out of the hole and dropped the cheese in front of Tom. Tom was so excited to see the cheese that he forgot all about Jerry. He started to eat the cheese, and Jerry ran away.

Tom was so angry that he chased after Jerry again. But Jerry was too fast for him. He ran out of the kitchen and into the living room. Tom followed him, but Jerry was already gone.

Tom sat down on the couch and started to lick his paws. He was still hungry, but he knew that he would never catch Jerry.
