El-Mecid İsminin Fazileti

The name Al-Majid is one of the most beautiful and meaningful names of Allah. It is derived from the Arabic root word “majd”, which means “glory”, “honor”, and “magnificence”. Al-Majid is the One who is the Most Glorious, the Most Honored, and the Most Magnificent. He is the One who is worthy of all praise and worship.
The name Al-Majid is mentioned in the Quran several times. In one verse, Allah says:
“He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him. And He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.” (Quran 59:24)
In another verse, Allah says:
“And to Allah belong the most beautiful names, so invoke Him by them. And leave those who deviate concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they used to do.” (Quran 7:180)
The name Al-Majid is also mentioned in the hadith. In one hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“The most beloved names to Allah are Abdullah and Abdurrahman. And the most truthful names are Harith and Hammam. And the best names are those that have the meaning of ‘abd’ (servant) in them.” (Sahih Muslim)
The name Al-Majid is a powerful name that can be used to invoke Allah’s help and protection. It is a name that can be used to remind us of Allah’s greatness and majesty. When we call upon Allah by this name, we are asking Him to grant us glory, honor, and magnificence.

El-Mecid ismi, Allah’ın en güzel ve anlamlı isimlerinden biridir. Arapça “majd” kökünden türemiştir ve “şan”, “şeref” ve “azamet” anlamlarına gelir. El-Mecid, en şanlı, en şerefli ve en azametli olandır. O, her türlü övgü ve ibadete layık olandır.
El-Mecid ismi Kur’an’da birkaç kez geçmektedir. Bir ayette Allah şöyle buyurmaktadır:
“O, Allah’tır, yaratandır, yoktan var edendir, şekil verendir. En güzel isimler O’nundur. Göklerde ve yerde olanlar O’nu tesbih eder. O, azizdir, hakimdir.” (Kur’an 59:24)
Başka bir ayette Allah şöyle buyurmaktadır:
“En güzel isimler Allah’ındır. O halde O’na bu isimlerle dua edin. O’nun isimleri konusunda sapıklık edenleri bırakın. Onlar yaptıklarının cezasını çekeceklerdir.” (Kur’an 7:180)
El-Mecid ismi hadislerde de geçmektedir. Bir hadiste Hz. Peygamber (s.a.v.) şöyle buyurmuştur:
“Allah’ın en sevdiği isimler Abdullah ve Abdurrahman’dır. En doğru isimler Haris ve Hammam’dır. En güzel isimler ise içinde ‘abd’ (kul) anlamı olan isimlerdir.” (Sahih Müslim)
El-Mecid ismi, Allah’ın yardımını ve korumasını istemek için kullanılabilecek güçlü bir isimdir. Allah’ın büyüklüğünü ve azametini hatırlatmak için kullanılabilecek bir isimdir. Bu isimle Allah’a dua ettiğimizde, O’ndan bize şan, şeref ve azamet vermesini isteriz.
