Kemal Sunal (11 November 1944 – 3 July 2000) was a Turkish actor, comedian, and film producer. He is considered one of the most popular and influential comedians in Turkish cinema history.

Sunal was born in Istanbul, Turkey, to Mustafa Sunal and Saime Sunal. He had two brothers, Cemal and Münir, and a sister, Ayşe. Sunal’s father was a civil servant and his mother was a housewife.

Sunal began his acting career in 1972, when he appeared in the film “Salak Milyoner”. He went on to star in over 100 films, including “Hababam Sınıfı” (1975), “Süt Kardeşler” (1976), “Şaşkın Ördek” (1983), and “Davaro” (1985).

Sunal’s films were often comedies, but he also appeared in dramas and action films. He was known for his unique style of comedy, which often involved physical humor and slapstick. Sunal was also a talented mimic, and he often imitated famous Turkish actors and politicians in his films.

Sunal’s films were very popular with Turkish audiences, and he became one of the most popular actors in the country. He was also a successful film producer, and he produced several films that were directed by his brother, Cemal Sunal.

Sunal died of a heart attack on 3 July 2000, at the age of 55. He was survived by his wife, Gül Sunal, and his two children, Ali Sunal and Ezo Sunal.
